Coal City (Grundy County) home prices fall in April 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in April 2017 in Coal City in Grundy County fell by $3,500 while total sales decreased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In April 2017, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $122,000 - a 2.8% decrease over the $125,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 14 homes sold in Coal City in April 2016.

The median sales tax in Coal City for 2017 was $3,223. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,073. This marks an increase of 4.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.6%.
