Coal City Community Unit School District 1 issued the following announcement on Jan. 6.

Parent Survey for all Coal City Schools

Coal City Schools are participating in the Illinois 5Essentials Survey now through February 14th.

The Illinois 5Essentials Survey provides a comprehensive picture of a school’s organizational culture in an

individualized report measuring five “essentials” critical for school success:

• Effective Leaders

• Collaborative Teachers

• Involved Families

• Supportive Environment

• Ambitious Instruction

The 5Essentials Survey is required annually by the Illinois State Board of Education for all schools. The results of the survey will provide our schools with information to continue providing a positive learning experience for the students of Coal City. We ask our parents/guardians to please take a moment and complete the survey for your

child’s school. PLEASE take the survey for each school that your children attend.
