On Sunday, March 2, former Coal City High School standout Payton Hutchings’ current college team, the Illinois Fighting Illini, lost 15-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Texas Longhorns.
The game took place at Las Vegas Ballpark. This was their first matchup against the Longhorns this season.
The Fighting Illini’s next game is scheduled for Friday, March 7 at 5:30 p.m. at Holman Stadium against Michigan Wolverines.
