Sen. Sue Rezin (R-Ill.) is grateful that some semblance of normalcy is finally coming back to her state after she was able to visit her aunt in a nursing home.

Rezin posted a photo of herself, her husband and her Aunt Barbie on her Facebook page once she was able to visit her aunt in Grundy County.

“Hugs go a long way. It has been 1 year since we have been able to hug Aunt Barbie in the nursing home. We can’t say ‘thank you’ enough to all of the staff at Park Pointe Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center who have stepped up and kept Barbie safe and happy,” Rezin posted.

Rezin was once a board member of the Community Foundation of Greater Grundy County.

She also used to be the vice president of the same organization and she is currently serving on the board of directors for We Care of Grundy County, a community outreach program designed to help people in need in Grundy.
