Morris Community Schools Shared Services Committee met Aug. 31.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

Superintendent Dr. Patrick Halloran called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. The following were in attendance:

Morris Community High School District 101: Superintendent Dr. Patrick Halloran, board members Judie Roth, Scot Hastings, Tom Anderson, Chris Danek, Lynn Vermillion. Athletic Director Jeff Johnson, B&G Supervisor Steve Lutz.

Saratoga District 60C: Superintendent Kathy Perry, board members Anne McDonnell, Scott Thorson, Kurt Barth. Athletic Director Vince Zomboracz.

District 54: Superintendent Dr. Shannon Dudek, board members Jerry White, Sandy Marsmaker, Bonnie Cap, Sheryl Dzuryak, Patrick Stevens. Athletic Director Kevin Mikuce, Principal Dave Raffel.

Transportation Review and Update The bills of each district were reviewed. Kathy Perry shared a Power Point presentation on the cost savings history and transportation details.

Shared Athletic Facilities – Shabbona Track/Field Architect Patrick Callahan reviewed the drawings, track refurbishment and cost analysis of the Shabbona track. A variety of questions were asked regarding the project timeline, scope and comparison to estimated costs to update the MCHS track facility.

The athletic directors reviewed schedule information and sharing opportunities to have junior high and high school programs work together.

Items Not Known at Agenda Preparation Time Discussion on the Queen of Hearts drawing taking place at the V.F.W. and transportation issues occurred.

There was no public comment. The meeting adjourned at 6:22 p.m.
