Many Morris-area residents appeared pleased by Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan's recent announcement that she will not seek re-election to a fifth term.
Comments on radio station WCSJ's Facebook page were almost universally in favor of her departure.
“All the Madigan family must go if Illinois stands a chance,” Mark Hoover posted.

"Must have her pockets stuffed full already hopefully she will just fade away," Tom Fitzgerald wrote.
Many of the comments also reflected disapproval of Madigan's father, House Speaker Michael Madigan (D-Chicago).
“Great! She needs to leave…Maybe we can get an AG that will prosecute Mike Madigan,” John Latimer wrote.
"2 for 1. Take dear old dad with you," Steve Jebbins added.
While Lisa Madigan has said she has no plans to seek another political office, some of the respondents weren't so sure.
“If only this meant that she wouldn't be running for any office,” Holly Elizabeth wrote. “When will Illinois constituents wake up??!”
"Probably going to run for Gov or take over when her evil father retires!" Kathy Umphrey Chronister posted.
Lisa Madigan's term ends in January 2019.
