Morris Community High School District 101 Building and Grounds Committee met Monday, Nov. 6.

Here is the agenda provided by the Committee:

Present: Mrs. Judie Roth

Mr. Chris Danek

Dr. Pat Halloran

Mr. Steve Lutz

Absent: Mr. Tom Anderson

The Building and Grounds Committee meeting convened at 5:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Shabbona Track Update

A review of a shared track between MCHS 101, Morris Elementary 54 and Saratoga 60c occurred. Dr. Halloran informed the committee that Saratoga is not interested in pursuing this course of action, leaving MCHS and District 54 to share the cost. The possibility of updating our track with 6 lanes was discussed along with several scenarios regarding the outdoor stadium area.

Capital Project Discussion

Possible plans for capital projects were reviewed and discussed. A STEM lab was a topic of conversation, as well as impending maintenance projects.

Custodial Staffing

A custodial transition plan was presented. With the retirement of Building & Grounds Director Steve Lutz and maintenance worker Jim Taylor approaching, scenarios were considered and assessed.

There was no public participation.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:57 p.m.
