Minooka Community High School District 111 Board met Dec. 18.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

CALL TO ORDER

The hearing was called to order in the Career Center by President Mike Brozovich at 6:30 p.m. A physical quorum was present with the following board members answering roll call: Wendi Arlis, Patti Ruettiger, Cherie Barnes, Mike Brozovich, Larry Troutman, Kristine Shipla, and Lori Lakota.

PRESENTATION OF 2017/2018 PROPOSED LEVY

Board members were presented with information regarding the FY18 proposed levy. Assistant Superintendent John Troy reported that the goal is to keep the tax rate the same. He added that the district had started deficit spending and then issued working cash bonds in the amount of $12 million. He continued that the district is controlling expenses, but there is also a need for additional revenue and this will allow the District to garner the increase in EAV.

There were no comments from the audience.

ADJOURNMENT

MOTION: by Lakota, seconded by Ruettiger, to adjourn the hearing. Voting Aye: Barnes, Arlis, Ruettiger, Shipla, Lakota, Troutman, and Brozovich. Motion carried. Time: 6:36 p.m
