Analysis: Minooka pays $2.52 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Minooka Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 71.4 percent of the $332,934 the Minooka Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.52 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Grundy Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Minooka contributed $237,794 to the fund, which saw a $1,467 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $94,069, or 28.3 percent, in 2016. Another $1,071 came from other unspecified sources.
