Report: Gardner S Wilmington spent $17,045 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Gardner S Wilmington Township High School District 73 is up 10 percent from five years ago, according to a Grundy Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Grundy County school district spent $15,537 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $17,045 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 198 to 195.

Gardner S Wilmington's spending in 2016-17 was 31 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
