South Wilmington Volunteer Fire Department responded to 31 calls in 2017 - 16.2 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in South Wilmington included 30 fires - 17 structure fires, three vehicle fires and 10 other fires.

The department also received one false call.

The South Wilmington Volunteer Fire Department had an annual budget of $85,668 in 2017.
