Coal City Middle School issued the following announcement on Sept. 13.
Coal City Middle School in cooperation with the St. Juvin's VFW Post 1336 is sponsoring the Patriots' Pen Essay Contest. Students wishing to participate need to write a 300-400 page essay on the theme, "Why I Honor the American Flag". Please see the attached flyer for more information. Essays are due in the CCMS by October 31, 2018. Special thanks to Commander Charles Brown and the VFW for helping with this event. If you have any questions please contact the CCMS Office.
