Maine Township Special Board met Aug. 6.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Board Members Present: Trustees Sweeney, Carrabotta and McKenzie

Others in attendance: Kurt Asprooth, Dayna Berman, Richard Lyon, Anna Lydka, Tony Smith, Ryan McKenzie, Lauren Barry, Diane Carrabotta, Donna Adam, Dennis Martin, Catherine Martin, Dagmar Rutzen, Sharon McLaughlin, Eric Carrabotta, Amanda McCarthy, Dick Barton, Bob Zalesny, Andrea Cline, Larry Ryles, Ginger Pennington, Joseph Egan, Carl Carrabotta, Jayne Reardon, Mike Reardon, Claire Reardon, Bob Susnjara-Daily Herald, Kim Biederman, Dale Zilligen and Wiesia Tytko

Trustee Sweeney called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m., Chief Deputy Clerk Tytko led the Pledge of Allegiance and called the roll.

Trustee Sweeney stated that Supervisor is not in attendance and the Board needs to appoint a chairman who is going to preside over this Special Board meeting.

Trustee Sweeney Motion to appoint Trustee Sweeney as the Chairman of the August 6th Special Board meeting.

Trustee McKenzie Second.

Motion carried on a roll call vote as follows:

Supervisor Morask Absent

Trustee Jones Absent

Trustee McKenzie Yes

Trustee Carrabotta Yes

Trustee Sweeney Yes

Motion carried.

Agenda Item: Public Participation

Trustee Sweeney asked for public participation on any not on the agenda items.

Bob Zalesny, Niles resident spoke and commented on recent raises for Maine Township employees. See video at 3:07.

Agenda Item: Discussion and vote to release and disclose, including placing on our website, the Sexual Harassment investigation report and exhibits as prepared by Ancel Glink and previously provided to the board members.

Motion carried on a roll call vote as follows:

Motion carried.

Several residents, Ginger Pennington of Park Ridge, Dennis Martin of Niles, Mike Reardon of Park Ridge, Larry Ryles of Park Ridge, Jayne Reardon of Park Ridge, Joseph Egan of Park Ridge, Bob Zalesny of Park Ridge, Kim Biederman of Park Ridge and Sharon McLauglin of Des Plaines expressed their opinions and comments regarding the subject of Sexual Harassment investigation and pay increases. Trustee Sweeney stated that the Sexual Harassment investigation report and exhibits will be released as well as posted on the Maine Township website.

Motion carried on a voice vote.
