MAINE TOWNSHIP: Township Responds to Landings Fire

Fireroom

Maine Township issued the following announcement on Sept. 16.

Our hearts go out to all the victims of the fire that tragically struck the Landings this weekend and particularly to the friends and family of the deceased. Numerous fire departments from all over the northwest and Northern suburbs came to the aid of the North-Maine Fire Department to battle the blaze. We thank each and every one of them as well as all CERT teams, OEM, Highway Department, and the Salvation Army.

Maine Township is providing Landings residents effected by the fire with food boxes; personal toiletries, socks, etc.; shelter assistance; and supplemental assistance as we band together to try to assist our residents. Please stop by the Maine Township Town Hall at 1700 Ballard Road in Park Ridge between the hours of 9-5 Monday-Friday and inquire at the General Assistance entrance or in the garage.

We also have a donation box inside the Maine Township Town Hall for (preferably) new clothing items, toiletries, white goods, blankets, etc. which will be given to victims of the Landings fire. Donations can also be sent through a GoFundMe page.

Please call 847-297-2510 with any additional questions.
