Greater Channahon Minooka Area Chamber Of Commerce Inc issued the following announcement on Sept. 24.
The Grundy County Chamber of Commerce & Industry welcomes Nan’s Catering & Home Cooking to the Chamber. The Morris catering business is owned by Annie Barrins who started her business with the hope of keeping family dinners alive.
“My earliest memories were built around the dinner table with my parents and three brothers telling stories, laughing, and spending quality time together over a delicious, homemade meal,” Barrins said. “Today, families are stretched even thinner with more after-school activities, later work days and conflicting schedules – all making mealtime as a family difficult. I began offering Take & Bakes in an attempt to take the stress and mess away from mealtime and refocus it on what’s important – time spent with family. This is where the ‘Home Cooking’ aspect came into Nan’s Catering & Home Cooking. I wanted to offer variations on the meals I grew up eating.”
