City of Vienna City Council met Aug. 1.

ELECTED/APPOINTED OFFICIALS PRESENT: Jon Simmons, Mayor Alan Racey, Alderman Austin Tuey, Alderman Cheryl Myrick, Alderman Richard Owen, Alderman Debbie Riddle, Alderman Melissa Hill, Alderman Aleatha Wright, City Clerk Shane Racey, City Supt. There being a quorum, Mayor Simmons called the meeting of the Vienna City Council to order at 6:36 p.m.
NEW BUSINESS
Alderman Hill made a motion to Authorize and Approve an amendment of funds per Resolution 17-08 to increase the amount by $13,730.93 (Sewer Funds) for Lift Station project on Rt.146 East. The motion was seconded by Alderman Riddle. Motion carried.
Alderman Myrick made a motion to Authorize and Approve final pay estimates for Lift Station Project: Clarida & Ziegler, $1,655.00 and Dean Bush Construction, $24,811.01. The motion was seconded by Alderman Tuey. Motion carried.
Alderman Tuey made a motion to approve the Omnibus Consent Agenda consisting of the July 18, 2018 City Council Meeting Minutes, the Warrant ($43,550.65). Alderman Racey seconded the motion. Motion carried.
City Supt Racey discussed a compliance program with council that would eventually be mandatory for the city's gas department.
Alderman Hill made a motion to Authorize and Approve proposal for USDI Utility Safety and Design ESRI Based Pipeline Safety Compliance Program. This would include a onetime fee of $1500.00/ $3,000.00 per year support services. (Gas Funds) Alderman Riddle seconded the motion. Motion Carried.
CITY ELECTED AND APPOINTED OFFICIALS
Mayor Simmons informed council that the IGA store was purchased by the Miles brothers and looked to be back in operation in the near future.
Clerk Wright informed discussed Color Run information with council members.
City Supt Racey discussed replacement of a sewer pump on Rt146 East. Racey stated that the estimate was $6,000.00 taking 6-8 weeks to receive the order once placed. Racey also mentioned that public works would be repainting the crosswalk at Rt.146 and 3rd street to comply with new IDOT regulations.
Phil Morris, Depot, updated council on happenings at the Depot.
Alderman Hill mentioned the Elks Lodge hosting the Fall Festival event as they were looking to hold it the last weekend in September.
As there was no further business to discuss Alderman Owen made a motion to adjourn seconded by Alderman Riddle.
Mayor Simmons declared the meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
