Coal City Elementary School issued the following announcement on Sept. 26.
The students in Mrs. Owensby and Miss Green’s class are learning about materials and their properties.
The students learned that when they classify objects, they put them into groups so that all the things in a group have the same property. The students worked in groups to classify buttons. Some ways the students found to sort the buttons were by color, size, and the number of holes in each button.
