COAL CITY INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL: G-Force Grandparent Program

Adult

Coal City Intermediate School issued the following announcement on Oct. 15.

The G-Force volunteers greet students each morning to help put a smile on their face!

Coal City School District is looking for grandparent and senior citizen volunteers to take part in a new program at the Coal City Early Childhood Center, Elementary School and Intermediate School. A part of the District's School Safety Plan goals is to develop a PreK-5th grade program where senior citizens (grandparents) greet students as they come to school in the morning. This program, named the G-Force, will allow students to see more smiling faces in the morning and connect with community members, while allowing the schools to have additional adults present in the school building relationships with the students. Call our office at 815-634-2182 ext. 0 if you are interested in becoming a member of the CCIS G-Force.
