Mrs. Zerbian informed the committee that they will be seeing transit fund salaries and benefits as employees are all in house.

V. New Business Transit
Mrs. Zerbian informed the committee of an incident involving a sudden stop on one of their buses. Nobody was hurt but filed with insurance paperwork just incase something arises in the future.
Mrs. Zerbian will be assembling an accident procedure to be placed on each of the buses.
The transit system will implement a new seat belt policy beginning October 1, 2018. Riders will now be recommended to wear their safety belts. The recommendation will be posted on every bus.
Mrs. Zerbian informed the committee that there is a need for three bus drivers. Interviews are taking place and being scheduled.
Mrs. Zerbian informed committee that their order for 2 new buses through consolidated vehicle procurement program will be going out to bid for new supplier and will be a 2 year turn around.
Mrs. Zerbian informed by program director that 2 buses and 1 mini van can be redistributed to the transit system at no cost.

IX. Ridge Road Update
The committee was updated on the status of the maintenance of traffic change for the Ridge Road Widening Project and the approvals that will need to take place to officially change the traffic plan.
X. South Wilmington Sidewalk
The committee was informed that D Construction was awarded the project. The construction will take place at the end of the season or early spring 2019 weather depending.
Mr. Gibson reminded the committee that the county had agreed to cover the match portion of the cost to install sidewalk within the county's ROW not to exceed $12,000 with the understanding that South Wilmington would assume all maintenance responsibilities of the sidewalks.
The Village of South Wilmington will be approving a resolution to accept all maintenance responsibilities at their next board meeting.
