Coal City Community Unit School District 1 issued the following announcement on Nov. 2.
On Halloween, students in Mrs. Boresi’s class were faced with a fun science challenge: creating a successful pumpkin launcher.
For this challenge, students designed and built a launching device that propelled a candy pumpkin through the air to attempt to hit a target. Students followed the engineering process and had specific rules to follow in building the launching device and launching the candy. Overall, the students learned a lot about the engineering process and had a lot of fun doing it!
