Coal City Community Unit School District 1 issued the following announcement on Jan. 17.
After attending the back to school session on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) students in Mrs. Villa’s preschool classroom did some activities within the classroom.
They were given cardboard, paper towel rolls, and toilet paper rolls to make a home for their animal to keep him sheltered from the cold. Later in the week the students had to design their own vehicle or their own house using different building pieces. These activities help build creative design skills, understand motion, shapes, and basic geometry.
