Unpaid fines for Morris-based campaign committee totaled $6,400 in August 2018

One campaign committee in Morris has overdue fines amounting to a total of $6,400, records obtained by the Grundy Reporter show.

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that Friends of Elizabeth Johnson was the only campaign committee in Morris that was delinquent in payment for August 2018, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

The largest fine that Friends of Elizabeth Johnson has yet to pay was imposed on July 23, 2017, for failure to file. The amount of this fine alone is $5,000.
