Morris home prices fall in the second quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2017 in Morris fell by $7,000 while total sales increased by 27%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2017, there were 80 homes sold, with a median sale price of $172,500 - a 3.9% decrease over the $179,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 63 homes sold in Morris in the second quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Morris for 2017 was $3,764.17. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,724.30. This marks an increase of 1.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.2%.
