Gardner home prices rise in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Gardner rose by $18,000 while total sales decreased by 58.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $128,000 - a 16.4% increase over the $110,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 12 homes sold in Gardner in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Gardner for 2017 was $2,863.98. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,004.30. This marks an decrease of 4.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.2%.
