South Wilmington home prices fall in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in South Wilmington fell by $17,500 while total sales increased by 150%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 20 homes sold, with a median sale price of $68,750 - a 20.3% decrease over the $86,250 median sale price for the previous year. There were eight homes sold in South Wilmington in 2016.

The median sales tax in South Wilmington for 2017 was $2,758. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,871. This marks an decrease of 3.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 4%.
