IV. Land Use Department

A. Trashformation Judging

The winning Coal City student's 2nd and 3rd grade Trashformation sculptures made from recycled materials were displayed for the committee. They will receive $50 gift cards from Walmart, all other participants will receive a gift bag and certificate.

i. Receipts for Recycling Events

The committee revisited the matter, further discussing the need for giving receipts for taking cash at recycling events and in the office. Heidi Miller told the committee that she has receipt books, already issues receipts in the office and will do so at events. Board Member Olson stated that the events are way too busy to make time to issue receipts.

1. Motion to issue receipts for all cash payments at all events.

Miller updated the committee on the Solid Waste Committee for 5 year plan, Ewaste/tire/shredding events. She also told the committee that three Grundy County solar farms were accepted for construction; Mazon Solar, Mazon Solar I & Underwood II.
