DRESDEN NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNIT 2: NRC Selects George Wilson as Director of the Office of Enforcement

Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Unit 2 issued the following announcement on May 9.

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has selected George Wilson as director, Office of

Enforcement, effective immediately.

Wilson, who has been serving as the office’s acting director, joined the NRC in 1999 as a

Region III operator licensing examiner in Illinois. Since then, he has served in a number of key

positions both in the region and at the agency’s Rockville, Md., headquarters. He was selected for

the Senior Executive Service in 2014.

“George is an experienced and talented leader, with a distinguished career as an NRC

employee. I am proud to announce his promotion to this important position,” said Executive

Director for Operations Margaret M. Doane.

Wilson received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Technology/General Studies

from the University of New York in Albany, N.Y., and a Master of Business Administration Degree

from Webster University in St. Louis. He is a graduate of the NRC’s SES Career Development

Program.
