Village of Coal City Planning and Zoning Board met April 1.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

At 6:00 pm, Chairman Georgette Vota called to order the meeting/training session of the Coal City Planning and Zoning Board. In attendance were members John Hawkinson, Jill Breneman and Richard Crotteau. Absent were members Maria Lewis, Amanda Burns and Irving DeWald. Also in attendance were Matt Fritz, village administrator, Richard "Bob" Malone and Kyle Watson from the building department and Trustee Tim Bradley.

Dan Boland and Mark Heinle from Ancel, Glink, Diamond, et al were the attorneys presenting the training session. The attached handout was distributed. The interactive training covered both the Plan Commission, consisting of 9 members, and the Zoning Board of Appeals, consisting of 7 members, and the different topics they address. Public Hearings was a lengthy conversation with many questions being addressed. (Tim Bradley left the training at 7:15 p.m.)

It was decided that the next training session would be held on Monday, May 6th at 6p.m. Crotteau moved to adjourn, second by Hawkinson. All signified by saying aye. No one opposed. The meeting/training was concluded at 8:15 p.m.
