Coal City Community Unit School District 1 issued the following announcement on May 28.
Over 350 people came out to paint dragons and unicorns at the Black Light Paint Night last Friday!
The ES lunch room was transformed into a glow in the dark painting studio for our district families to enjoy. The walls were lined with the “Glow Show”, collaborative murals painted in fluorescent paint and neon oil pastels. The murals were created by art students at the ECC, ES, and IS who learned all about Glow Art in their art classes with Mrs. Brncich and Miss Miulli. Parents and students all had a blast painting, enjoying glow in the dark games and treats. Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun!
