Q1 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Grundy County?

There were 10 offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Grundy County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Grundy Reporter.

The data shows that eight men and two women were released in Grundy County. The median age of the parolees was 39. The youngest parolee was a 29-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2017, and the oldest was a 50-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Ralph Watson. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2008 when he was 34 years old. He is now 45.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
