B. Report

Tony Arnold told the committee that he is continuing with the carpet replacement project in eight more offices and flooring replacement in Health Department areas. He requested three quotes, with only one response; the same vendor and pricing as last year. The funds are budgeted.

A. 216 E. Illinois Ave Building Inspection

A discussion was held regarding the structural inspection done by Chamlin & Associates Inc. The consensus of the committee was to direct the County Administrator to obtain engineering estimates for total demolition and rehabilitation of the building.

B. Donate Surplus Office Equipment

The committee discussed the possibility of offer surplus office furniture to other government bodies. The matter will be further discussed at the County Board meeting on May 14th.

XVII. Legislative Matters

A. House Bill 3317

Gray told the committee that the Tax Committee had directed Perry Rudman to draft a resolution in opposition of HB3317 and any bill singling out Grundy County to require an elected Assessor and in support of HB 3143 that establishes a uniform statewide policy. The resolution will be voted on by the County Board on May 14th.
