Maine Township Road District Fund Board met May 28.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

Board Members Present and other Elected Officials: Trustees: Jones, Carrabotta, McKenzie and Sweeney, Supervisor Morask, Clerk Gialamas, Assessor Moylan Krey and Highway Commissioner Kazmierczak

Others in Attendance: Kurt Asprooth, Dayna Berman, Denise Jajko, Doriene Prorak, Elizabeth Coy, Richard Lyon, Michael Samaan, Ryan McKenzie, Marie Dachniwsky, Robert Hoban, Diane Carrabotta, Melis Bircan, Carl Carrabotta, Austin Kelso, Dick Barton, Donna Adam, and Wiesia Tytko

Supervisor Morask called the hearing to order at 8:30 p.m. and asked for the public comments.

Agenda Item: Public comment

Mary Mathisen, Park Ridge resident commented on Recovery Connection wonderful programs. She thanked the Board for having it.

Agenda Item: Presentation and Approval of Road District Budget, Ordinance 2019-RB-1

Supervisor Morask stated that this hearing is for the purpose of receiving public comments on the proposed budget for the Road District Fund for fiscal year 2019-2020. She stated that the proposed budget has been on file in the Clerk’s office for 30 days and that the required legal notice was published

Highway Commissioner Kazmierczak presented and commented on the proposed Road District Budget. See video at 5:13.

Supervisor Morask Motion to approve the Maine Township Road District Budget & Appropriation Ordinance for 2019-2020, Ordinance 2019-RB-1.

Trustee Jones Second.

Trustee McKenzie stated that she appreciates the engineering study and working on his budget and she suggested reducing the $400,000.00 Capital Fund Line Item in the Road Improvement Fund to $150,000.00 in the Road Improvement Fund for this fiscal year based on the engineering study data provided.

Supervisor Morask Motion to amend the Ordinance 2019-RB-1 with amendment of reducing the Capital Fund Line Item in the Road Improvement

Fund from $400,000.00 to $150,000.00 for 2019-2020 fiscal year.

Trustee Jones Second.

Motion carried on a roll call vote as follows:

Supervisor Morask Yes

Trustee Jones Yes

Trustee McKenzie Yes

Trustee Carrabotta Yes

Trustee Sweeney Yes

Motion carried.

Trustee McKenzie Second.

All in favor.

Motion carried on a voice vote.
