Coal City Community Unit School District 1 issued the following announcement on Sept. 20.

The physical education classes recently began their outdoor “Lifetime Activities Unit.”

This unit puts emphasis on activities that can be done no matter what your age or what your physical fitness level is. During this unit they are taught the rules, regulations and scoring options of the lifetime activities. These activities include bean bags, washers, bocce ball, soccer and softball. They are given the option to play whatever activity they want with the option to do another activity the next day!
