Village of Minooka Village Board met September 24

Village of Minooka Village Board met Sept. 24.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

Village President, Patrick Brennan called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Members present: Chad Hrechko, Dick Parrish, Barry Thompson, Ric Offerman, and Dennis Martin. Member absent: Terry Houchens. Also present: Dan Duffy - Village Administrator, Ryan Anderson - Public Works Superintendent, John Harrington - Finance Director, Justin Meyer - Police Chief and Paul Pearson - Village Engineer.

Changes to Agenda - There were no changes to the agenda.

Review of Minutes - Minutes of the Village Board Meeting of August 27, 2019 were reviewed. Trustee Thompson moved, Trustee Parrish seconded the motion to accept the minutes of August 27, 2019 Village Board Meeting as presented.

Ayes: Martin, Thompson, Hrechko, Offerman and Parrish 

Nays: None

Absent: Houchens 

Motion carried.

Bills and Transfers - Trustee. Martin moved, Trustee Thompson seconded the motion to approve the Bills and Transfers as presented.

Ayes: Hrechko, Martin, Parrish, Thompson & Offerman 

Nays: None

Absent: Houchens 

Motion carried.

Treasurer's Report - Trustee Martin moved, Trustee Parrish seconded the motion to approve the Treasurer's Report as presented.

Ayes: Thompson, Parrish, Martin, Offerman & Hrechko 

Nays: None

Absent: Houchens 

Motion carried.

Public Forum - President Brennan opened the public forum at 6:32 p.m.

Bike Rodeo Presentation

Cindy Wilson from Minooka Fire Protection District presented kids with trophies from the bike safety rodeo. The winners were: 

4-5 year olds                       6-8 year olds                        9-11 year olds

Accepting the FY 2019 Financial Statements - Trustee Martin moved, Trustee Thompson seconded the motion to accept the FY 2019 financial statements as presented.

Ayes: Parrish, martin, Thompson, Offerman & Hrechko 

Nays: None

Absent: Houchens 

Motion carried.

Resolution to Establish the Village Authorized Check Signers for All Village Bank Accounts - Trustee Martin moved, Trustee Thompson seconded the motion to approve Resolution #2016R-2293 approving the authorized check signers for the Village due to the fact that Village Clerk Kristi Lamontagna has resigned her job here at the Village.

Ayes: Martin, Thompson, Hrechko, Offerman & Parrish 

Nays: None

Absent: Houchens 

Motion carried.

Staff Reports - Mr. Duffy stated that the staff reports stand as submitted.

Liquor Commission Report - Commissioner Brennan stated that the liquor commission had met before the village board meeting and approved the temporary license for St. Mary's Church's Octoberfest on October 6, 2019 from Noon - 6:00 p.m. Trustee Thompson moved, Trustee Hrechko seconded the motion to approve Ordinance #2019-22 Amending Title 3, Section 3-4-7(A) (Liquor Control, Number of Licenses; Fees) of Minooka Village Code, Increasing Class E Liquor Licenses (Temporary) from 0 to 1 (St. Mary's Church's Octoberfest on October 6, 2019 from Noon - 6:00 p.m.)

Ayes: Martin, Thompson, Hrechko, and Parrish 

Nays: None 

Abstain: Offerman

Absent: Houchens 

Motion carried.

Annexation Committee Report - President Brennan stated that there was nothing to report.

Executive Session - President Brennan announced there was no need for an executive session.

Action From Executive Session - No action needed.

As Appropriate - President Brennan stated that the Community Picnic that was originally scheduled for September 22, 2019 was postponed due to the weather and was rescheduled to September 29th at 1:00 p.m.

Hearing no comments or questions President Brennan called for adjournment. Trustee Thompson moved, Trustee Hrechko seconded the motion to adjourn at 6:51 p.m. All voted yes, meeting adjourned.
