V. OLD BUSINESS
EC.18.02, Faculty Apportionment Formula

EC.20.06, Student Election Timeline
The committee discussed the timing of the student elections. Due to the complexity of the issue, after a short discussion, Hintz agreed that the current timeline will continue to be used for the upcoming election. The student election timeline will be discussed at an upcoming meeting with the possibility of making changes for the 2021-2022 elections.
EC.20.07, Student Apportionment
The committee discussed the Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) apportionment as it relates to undeclared students and whether LAS should elect student senators within the current voting units grouped by discipline or elected at-large as a college. The committee also discussed gathering data on the number of students that are in the LAS undeclared category. The committee will continue to discuss this matter at a future meeting.
EC.20.08, Carle Illinois College of Medicine Election Unit
One faculty seat and one student seat will be added to the Senate for the Carle Illinois College of Medicine for the 2020 election. Once the seats are established, this item will be removed from the agenda.
VI. NEW BUSINESS
EC.20.09, Center for Translation Studies Election Unit
Chair Graber reported that Joyce Tolliver, faculty senator and Director of the Center for Translation Studies (CTS), requested a faculty seat for CTS. After a short discussion, the committee determined that additional information is needed to decide if a seat should be added for CTS. The request from CTS for a faculty seat brought to light the question of whether there are other similar small units that should also have a faculty seat added to the Senate. Roether will make an effort to gather additional information for continued discussion on this topic at a future meeting.
VII. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 2:00 pm.
