DRESDEN NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNIT 2: NRC Schedules Regulatory Conference with Avera St. Luke’s Hospital

Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Unit 2 issued the following announcement on Feb. 9.

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will meet with officials from Avera St. Luke’s

Hospital of Aberdeen, S.D., on Feb. 13, to discuss three apparent violations identified by the NRC

during an inspection conducted July 30-31, 2019.

The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m., in the Dakota Event Center’s Rushmore Room,

720 Lamont St., in Aberdeen. NRC officials will be available to answer questions from the public

following the business portion of the meeting. The public will also be able to observe the meeting

and ask questions via a phone bridge by calling 800-779-6079 and entering passcode 3774836.

The purpose of the conference is to discuss the violations identified in a Dec. 17, 2019,

inspection report. No decision on the final safety significance of the violations or any NRC actions

will be made at the meeting
