A public hearing was conducted in accordance with Section 5/17-2 of the ILCS. No visitors presented any comments regarding the proposed tax levy. Cornale explained the documents received from the county assessor’s office alluded to an approximately 4.5% increase in the overall EAV of the District. This presented an opportunity to lower rates slightly and still maximize capped funds. Additionally, a slight decrease in the levy associated with IMRF and Social Security (2 non-capped funds) will allow the capped funds to receive the maximum rates. Merritt explained because of the increase in overall EAV and the lower tax rate; the district anticipates more Levy dollars than in years past.

A motion to adjourn the meeting was made at 7:05PM.
