Q3 2019 Recap: Parolees in Morris convicted of financial crimes or fraud

There were two offenders convicted of financial crimes or fraud released on parole in Morris during the third quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Grundy Reporter.

The data shows that a man and woman were released in Morris. The younger parolee was a 31-year-old man sentenced in 2019. The other was a 60-year-old woman sentenced in 2019.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Amanda Corsini. She was convicted of a financial crime or fraud in 2019 when she was 58 years old. She is now 60.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
