Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Unit 2 issued the following announcement on June 24.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has selected Jennifer England
as the new resident inspector at the James A. FitzPatrick nuclear power
plant in Scriba, N.Y. England rejoined the NRC in 2019 as a reactor engineer in the
Division of Reactor Projects in the NRC’s Region I Office in King of
Prussia, Pa. She previously worked for the NRC as a resident inspector at
the Indian Point nuclear power plant in New York.
Prior to returning to the NRC, she worked as a quality manager for several manufacturing
companies on products such as pressure transducers, valves, hardware and fasteners. She also
earlier worked at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, where she was a nuclear plant engineer in
the Naval Nuclear Power Program.
England holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Rutgers University.
Each U.S. commercial nuclear power plant has at least two NRC resident inspectors.
England joins senior resident inspector Eric Miller, serving as the agency’s eyes and ears at the
facility, conducting inspections, monitoring significant work projects and interacting with plant
workers and the public.
