Coal City Village Board met May 29.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

At 11:00 a.m.in the boardroom of the Coal City Village Hall, Mayor Terry Halliday called to order the meeting of the Coal City Village Board. In attendance remotely were Mayor Terry Halliday, Trustees Dave Spesia, Tim Bradley and Sarah Beach. In attendance physically was Trustee Dave Togliatti and village administrator, Matt Fritz. Absent; Trustees Ross Bradley and Dan Greggain. 

The minutes of the May 27, 2020 Public Hearing were presented. Spesia moved to approve the minutes as written, second by Beach. Roll call-Ayes; Togliatti, Spesia, T. Bradley and Beach. Nays; none. Absent; R. Bradley and Greggain. Motion carried.

There was no public comment.

Ordinance 20-08, the approval of zoning text amendments was presented to the Board by Mr. Fritz. The Coal City Planning and Zoning Board had reviewed the changes and a Public Hearing was held wherein the Planning and Zoning Board recommended the · changes and revisions to the Village Board. The three zoning text amendments were:

1. Chapter 156-163 Small-scale Solar Energy Conversion Systems

2. Chapter 154-4 Prohibited Signs

3. Chapter 154-8 Flashing Lights

4. Chapter 154-17 Advertising Signs in A and A-R Districts

Togliatti moved to adopt Ordinance 20-08 amending the Village Code to incorporate certain signage, lighting and solar installation requirements, second by Spesia. Roll call - Ayes; Togliatti, Spesia, T. Bradley and Beach. Nays; none. Absent; R. Bradley and Greggain. Motion carried.

Trustee Spesia announced the Spring Clean-up scheduled for Tuesday, July 14th for the residents of Coal City.

T. Bradley moved to adjourn the meeting at 11:12 a.m., second by Spesia. Roll call - Ayes; Togliatti, Spesia, T. Bradley and Beach. Nays; none. Absent; R. Bradley and. Greggain. Motion carried and the meeting adjourned.
