Analysis: Morris pays $5.74 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Morris Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 85.2 percent of the $1,274,039 the Morris Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.74 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Grundy Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Morris contributed $1,085,076 to the fund, which saw a $229,174 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $188,881, or 14.8 percent, in 2018. Another $82 came from other unspecified sources.
