Analysis: Morris pays $3.78 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Morris Firefighters' Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 79.1 percent of the $47,788 the Morris Firefighters' Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.78 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Grundy Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Morris contributed $37,795 to the fund, which saw a $3,101 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $9,993, or 20.9 percent, in 2018.
