Analysis: Minooka pays $2.89 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Minooka FPD Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 73.8 percent of the $466,066 the Minooka FPD Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.89 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Grundy Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Minooka contributed $344,008 to the fund, which saw a $79,820 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $118,896, or 25.5 percent, in 2018. Another $3,162 came from other unspecified sources.
