Maine Township issued the following announcement on Aug. 22.
Due to the high volume of appeals and phone calls, the Maine Township Assessor’s office will be assisting residents in filing appeals until August 24, 2020. The August 24th township deadline will allow the Maine Township assessor’s office the time to transmit all appeals efficiently to the Cook County Assessor’s office.
Taxpayers may file their own appeal through August 26, 2020 on the Cook County Assessor’s website at
Residents will have a second opportunity to file an appeal to the Cook County Board of Review later in the 2020 year.
