DRESDEN NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNIT 2: NRC Schedules Regulatory Teleconference with Entergy Operations

Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Unit 2 issued the following announcement on Dec. 2.

The NRC will hold a regulatory teleconference with officials from Entergy Operations on

Dec. 10 to discuss apparent violations of regulatory requirements documented by the NRC during

an inspection at the Grand Gulf nuclear power plant in Port Gibson, Miss.

The teleconference will begin at 9 a.m., Central Standard Time and will be open to the

public. The public will be able to listen to the meeting and ask questions following the business

portion of the teleconference. Registration is required to access the WebEx meeting link and

telephone conference bridge information.

The purpose of the teleconference is to discuss the apparent violations identified in an

Oct. 29 inspection report related to Grand Gulf’s radioactive materials transportation program.

No decision on the final safety significance of the apparent violations or any NRC actions

will be made at the meeting.
