ILLINOIS EDUCATION ASSOCIATION MINOOKA REGION: Bourbonnais Teachers To Hold Informational Picket After Negotiations Stall

Illinois Education Association Minooka Region issued the following announcement on Jan. 25.

Contract negotiations between the Bourbonnais Elementary School District 53 Board of Education and BEA teachers have stalled. The BEA can legally go on strike as soon as Feb. 5. The BEA represents 167 teachers, speech pathologists, psychologists and social workers who serve more than 2400 students. More information can be found here.

**Anyone attending the information picket is asked to wear a mask and to safely social distance per the Centers for Disease Control and Illinois Department of Public Health guidelines.
