Minooka Community High School Special Committee/Cultural Assessment Task Force Met April 7.
Here is the minutes provided by the task force:
Meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm in person at South Campus and Central Campus.
Present: Ava Bezaire, Laura Hrechko, Kenny Lee, Susanne Madding, Alexis Mondragon, Brad Sprague, Matt Thomas, John Troy, Matt Wikoff, Bryan Zwemke, Ryan Dooley, Chantal Host, Brent Edwards.
During the meeting the BOE Special Task Force Committee:
1. The committee was separated into two groups to partake in a MCHS Building Tour.
· Group A (South Campus) consisted of Dr. Kenny Lee, John Troy, Brent Edwards, Matt Thomas, Alexis Mondragon, Susanne Madding, and Chantal Host.
· Group B (Central Campus) consisted of Dr. Bryan Zwemke, Matt Wikoff, Laura Hrechko, Ava Bezaire, Brad Sprague, and Ryan Dooley.
o The two groups had the opportunity to tour the buildings of MCHS South Campus and Central Campus to review imagery, signage, and various icons and graphics that are displayed on hallway walls, windows, bulletin boards, classrooms, athletic areas, and other public meeting spaces. The tour provided a unique insight on how the MCHS logo and other Native American logos and icons are portrayed throughout the school.
