Report: Nettle Creek School District spent $13,049 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Nettle Creek Community Consolidated School District 24C was down 8.5 percent from five years ago, according to the Grundy Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Grundy County school district spent $14,258 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,049 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 89 to 81 students over the same period.

Nettle Creek's spending in 2019-20 was 10 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
