Rep. David Walter posted a link to a Fox News story of Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stating any citizen that is willing to fight will be provided a gun.
At that time, Russia's army had invaded Ukraine's capital, Kyiv. Pres. Vladimir Putin has yet to cease fire and continues with martial law.
"We will give weapons to anyone who wants to defend the country. Be ready to support Ukraine in the squares of our cities," Pres. Zelenskyy tweeted, according to Fox News
On the sixth day of the war Russian forces fiercely entered the capital and Pres. Zelenskyy rejected offers to leave the capital in spite of Russian advances.

ABC News reports, as of Mar. 2nd, Russian forces had divided into smaller groups in multiple locations in Ukraine.
