1. AC Deputy Administrator

Melissa proposed that Dr Lauri Safford be appointed as Deputy Administrator. According to State Law 510 ILCS 5 each Animal Control Facility must have a Veterinarian that is either the Administrator or Deputy Administrator.

XII. Fuel Usage and Overtime

1. Fuel Usage Report

Per Eric Gibson, fuel usage is about 49% of budget for fiscal year.

2. Overtime Report

Per Eric Gibson, overtime is about 65% of budget for the year. Highway did have overtime on Sunday for a request for assistance on a barn fire.

XIII. Highway New Business

1. IGA with Minooka for Tree Planting Along Ridge Road

Per Eric Gibson, he is proposing an IGA with Village of Minooka to plant trees along Ridge Road. The County will have no cost associated with this agreement and all future maintenance will be under the jurisdiction of the Village of Minooka. The County will have approval of where the trees will be placed.

2. Resolution Establishing Brisbin Rd from Rte 6 to Sherill Rd 80000 Lb Route

Per Eric Gibson, the resolution was not received by IDOT and will not be for some time. He is removing this resolution from agenda, no action taken.

3. Request to Approve Adding Additional Full-Time Highway Maintainer

Per Eric Gibson, he is requesting an addition full-time highway maintainer. He noted that in the past that there was 7 maintainers but that had been discontinued. He stated that with the concerns from the Sheriff's Department with the snow policy, Eric believes that another full time employee is needed to help.

Eric Gibson briefly went through his plans for the Budget for Fiscal Year 2023.

5. Resolution to Approve Purchase of Tandem Axle Plow Truck-NTE $280,000

Eric Gibson noted that we have to put in a written notice to purchase a 2023 Plow Truck. This is to get put on this list to make sure we are able to have the truck built next year.

Per Eric Gibson, this was a state letting on 6/17/22. The lowest qualified bidder was Austin Tyler Construction.

XIV. Highway Old Business

1. McEvilly Road -Ridge Road to Bell Weight Posting Update

Eric Gibson noted that a Resolution had passed in 2017 to weight limit the McEvilly Road from Ridge Road to Bell Road. The signs were not posted. He noted that the signs are being ordered and will be posted once they come in.

2. Grand Ridge Road Bridge Update

Eric Gibson noted that the Grand Ridge Road Bridge has been completed and that the road is open.

3. Ridge Road Update

Eric Gibson noted that the bridge is installed, storm sewer is completed at Ridge Road. Pending direction from Rail Road to finish completing project.

4. Update on 2022 General Maintenance Projects

Eric gave an update on the progress for the GM work for this year.
